McGovern Surveyors was established in 1991 to provide a wide-range of property and construction-related services. We can help you with Structural Surveys, Schedules of Condition/Dilapidations, Land Surveying and Architectural Services. We now employ 6 people of which 3 are Chartered Building Surveyors. We value our staff, our most important asset, some of which are with the firm for many years.

Pat McGovern BSc FSCS FRICS
Managing Director, Chartered Building Surveyor
Pat returned from London and set up in private practice in 1991. Pat's expertise is in the professional services area including commercial, retail, industrial, and residential surveys.
Pat is actively involved with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and is and is the current chairman of the Building Surveying Professional Group for the 2011/12 season. He is also an APC assessor for the SCSI Building Surveying Division. He is also a representative on SCSI QS committee and is one of the SCSI representatives on the IIS Forum for Boundary Reform. He lectured for 9 years part time in building pathology at Dundalk Institute of Technology. He has provided expert evidence on construction defects and disputes.

Brian Duffy BSc (Hons) ASCS
Associate, Chartered Building Surveyor
Brian Duffy joined the firm in 1997 having previously worked with Cooney & Company Architects. Brian specialises in structural surveys and building defect diagnosis and analysis. Brian heads up the residential surveying section of the firm and is practice manager in the Navan office. He has been involved in a wide range of survey types including structural surveys, insurance reinstatement valuations and claims, snagging and pre-demolition schedules of condition. Brian’s strengths lie mainly in the diagnosis and analysis of building defects

Kevin Hollingsworth BSc (Hons) MRICS ASCS Cert CII
Chartered Building Surveyor
Kevin joined the firm in 2008 having previously worked as a Building Surveyor with Cassidy & Ashton, previously he worked with Atkins and Cunningham Lindsey as a building surveyor. During his time in the UK he worked on both commercial and residential projects for private and public clients. He has been involved in a wide range of building survey types and Project Management including the role of PSDP. Kevin is also qualified as a non-domestic building energy rating (BER) assessor. Kevin is actively involved with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and is an APC assessor for the SCSI Building Surveying Division and a representative on SCSI’s promotion committee.

Noel Clarke
Trainee Building Surveyor
Noel joined the practice direct from college, and is currently in the process of becoming chartered with the SCSI. Noel is involved in a wide range of surveying duties including condition reports, snag lists, land surveying, measured building surveys, and planning. Noel also has training for confined spaces, and breathing apparatus equipment.

Breege Conneely
Office/Practice Manager
Breege joined the company in 2005 as Office/Practice Manager, having worked previously with Fujitsu Services and over 12 years in the United States. Breege is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business.
